I called to make an appt for my 14 1/2 month old to obtain her Varicella vaccine. I am from NYS and we do the vaccine at 12 months there so I did not even think this would be a problem. The male receptionist made my appt and said nothing about the possibility of my daughter not being able to get her injection due to her not being 15 months. I showed up for my appt...a bit early. I sat there for an hour for the doctor to come in and tell me She could not administer the injection due to my daughter not being 15 months old. Now I live in Oshawa. So I took us out and made the trip to Be told this was not going to happen when his could of been resolved by the receptionist telling me on the phone of this policy. But when I questioned the doctor why the receptionist let me make the appt if this was the case her response was “he is a receptionist.” Now I have worked in the medical Field for 10 years and I understand all the different ways this could have been handled but it wasn’t. I will never be back in the office and I will write many honest reviews
The facilities need to be more bigger for the waiting room especially if one goes with young children. I just went there again this week with my daughter who had a fever, and a lady was coughing up a storm with no mask over her face; much less covering her mouth. Ewwww! You could probably imagine how my face looked and anyone who does know me, knows that I hate that shit like crazy. Otherwise than that and a few other flaws...its a good centre just I think that children should be seen first. When I come in for a walk in; I do not expect to be sitting in a crowded waiting room for over an hour-long when I could be at home cooking or cleaning. Needs to have FASTER SERVICES for WALK-IN'S!!!! I don't even have to wait long at my family doctors office and that's all the way downtown.
Horrible Service. I was sick, decided to go there since my cough just wouldn't go away. I didn't have an appointment since it's supposed to be a walk in clinic. As i was sitting there, i was talking to this guy that came in after me since we both seemed to have the same problem. We were wondering how long we would have to wait to see the doctor. He told me that he didn't have an appointment either. Guess what??? He got in to see the doctor before me. I had to wait another 30 minute...so in total, i waited 1 1/2 hours. Basically this will be my last time going there. Don't bother going here unless you are the same nationality as them...you'd wait forever... (I am a minority just not the same one as them)
Absolutely terrible customer service. I got off the phone after being treated with great attitude while I was only asking for an appointment as a new client (I do not remember the exact words so I will not expand on this but I felt extremely offended)- so I did not book an appointment. I decided to call back a few minutes later because I do need this procedure done and was instructed to go to ZMC Medical Centre. I called back a second time and asked "Could I please speak with someone else". He said "I don't understand what you are asking" so I politely said "I would rather speak with someone else to book my appointment". He said "No one else is here". I then said "Okay, is there a day you are not working so I am able to speak with someone else" and he said "You can keep trying back and hope someone else answers... I work every day". I can not comment on the doctor's competency as I did not book an appointment and nor will I ever go back or advise anyone to go to this clinic.
The location on Harwood North, in Ajax. 1801 Harwood Ave N #2, Ajax, ON L1T 0K8. (905) 427-5444. Worst customer service ever. I walked in on a Friday last month, my family doctor was already closed, I needed my 2nd hepB shot for school on Monday, and had cpr course all day on Sat, so I couldn't see my family doctor. Yes, I was cutting it close and last minute. Needed both for my college program. I paid the amount the brown girl told me. Went to get my prescription transfered and filled. Returned to the office and was told there might be additional charges after being seen. Let me clarify, before I paid and went to get prescription, I asked how much it would be, she consulted with someone at the back before letting me know and I paid. So you can see why I was majorly pissed off. I told her to refund me my money, she said that shes not allowed to and she doesnt know how to (sounded fishy to me too, plus I used to work in an office, all reception knew how to, we just had to consult with our manager if it was done by someone else). Was told to come back again for refund. Left the office, went to another walk in, explained my situation about school and family doctor office being closed. I asked about fees, she spoke to someone at the back and told me there wasn't any. Lesson learned. See your family doctor, don't cut it close, and if you do, shop around first. The office manager is never around. I went a few other times, still not around. I went a few days ago, saw a brown guy was there. I told him why I was there and showed him the bill. He says he doesnt know the situation which is a total lie, I've been there a few times for my refund, of course there is talk in the office, he may not know me, but he knows of the situation. I explained my situation, told him about having to come back a few times, I was annoyed, but keep my rudness at bay, he wasn't the one I had a problem with. He told me he was going to get a cheque. WTF. I wasted time, and gas to get there a few times, so I told him about it, he asked if i wanted my money or not. I was speechless for a few mins, he repeated it again and I said yes, what do you think. I was in shock, after having sometime to think I should have made a complaint with the cops. I know better next time. There will never be a next time there. LMAO. Anyways, I was told to have a seat, while he attended to other patients. I waited 10mins and then was given a cheque. I walked out. BEAWARE The office manager is never around when you want to make a complaint. They charge for every single thing, when you are sitting waiting to be seen, read it. They even wrote their own reviews... LMAO. There are lots of other offices accepting new patients. GOOGLE IT. Patients are rebook next two weeks. Please ask about additional charges before and after being seen. Especially paper work and what's not covered under OHIP. I don't know about the doctors (didn't have an experience with them), but I think reception and manager should be fired. Ratings for services and value should have a zero star option. Place was clean, but I sure as hell am not going to give them more than the bare minimum required. Oooo yes, I almost forgot. My cheque was written for the amount and it said "ONLY"... Oooo they should definitely allow pics to be posted on here. On one other occasion when I was there for my refund, the receptionist ask for my address. She told me she needed it for records, I told her I am not a patient there and never will be. I did give her my OHIP card, I wonder if I can find out if it was used there. If it was, there will be hell to pay. Thanks for reading about my experience. Don't let this happen to you. It sure as hell will never happen to me again. Remember to shop around first and lots of offices are accepting new patients, Google it. You are the patient, you have options. Ooo and get service first before you pay, if they ask for money up front like they did, get away, get far far away from there. LMAO. I'm happy I wasn't seen. I thank God and my parents for that.
This is the place to go if you want to feel your health is being cared for. Front staff are so professional and caring. Atmosphere very calming. Dr support is great. Taking new patients and you can walk in if need be. Recommend highly..where do you get that from a walkin option these days?
