Ratings for Dr. David Homer
Wonderful DR. I've had pain in my low back for 3 months and massage wasn't really getting rid of it, physiotherapy seems to help for a few days, and my medical doctor didn't know what to say. Dr. Homer gave the most through exam and the treatment where he and his table stretches me out and adjusts me.....well I haven't had any low back pain in 2 weeks. His knowledge is second to none. I'm so glad I found him!
Great doctor with lots of patiences. As he says, I have an acute exacerbation of a chronic condition. I’ve had mid back pain for years that wouldn’t go away. I’d have a flare up, then gone, then again for a few weeks then go away again then flare up Again. I thought I’d give it another try getting it fixed. And I’m glad I did. He has a different approach; he is constantly changing what he does to adapt to your body, rather then doing the same thing and expecting your body to adapt to him. I’ve seen amazing results over the past 5 months. I’ve got easy exercises to do that have changed about 3 times , I haven’t had any pain in the past 2.5 months, my posture is better. Even my family notices my better posture. I certainly wasn’t the easiest case. We had a lot of conversations about my posture, my mattress, my workstation, my purse, this didn’t seem to work so we tried this, then changed that, Dr. Homer never rushed me and was truly interested in fixing my problem. Thank you Dr. Homer!
Wonderful experience. I've had bad headaches for many years and I've seen many MD, PT, RMT, DC in the past with no real results. I would always flare up with a bad headache after any treatment, or just no changes. Dr. Homer was referred to me by a friend that I've seen great improvement in them, so I decided to give it a try again. I'm amazed at how he has helped me with my headaches. I haven't had one in 3 weeks....and that's saying a lot. What I found he did different was take a really long history and a really long exam. When he treated me, he would only do a little at a time. Then the next visit, same thing---asked me a bunch of questions, examined me a lot, then did a little bit more than the previous visit. Our visits continued like that; very specific exam, and a little bit more treatment every time. I love that he explains everything. He showed me research on scar tissue for chronic injuries and anatomy of why I'm having the headaches and what he is doing and why he is going slow. I've not had any flare ups and now 3 weeks no headaches......miraculous. I'd recommend him to anyone.
I first came to Dr. Homer after 9 years of constant lower back/glute/hip pain. I had tried several other physiotherapists, and massage therapists before but none of it helped at all. My pain was so bad at times that I could not sit, stand, or sleep. I found Dr. Homer on this site and decided to give him a shot due to the high ratings. At first, I was hesitant but I decided to really give him a chance based on other patients' testimonials. I was not an easy case because I had a bulging disc on my lower back along with spondylolisthesis right underneath it. Dr. Homer was able to accurately diagnose my case with the help of X-rays and MRI results, and build a specialized program for me. The treatment itself was frustrating at times as I often felt that it was not helping and I was not noticing a change. I would feel slightly better, then get worse again. I thought about quitting but decided against it. I stuck with Dr. Homer, followed his treatment plan, and after about 6-8 months, I really started to notice a substantial improvement. It took some experimenting but we found the right treatment plan for my case (a combination of exercise regiment, specialized chiropracting table treatment, and deep tissue massage therapy). I am now pain-free on my lower back on most days. There are still some days where the pain returns, but I do the exercises and it generally goes away. When I first started treatment, I went 3 times a week, and now I am down to once a month. I am so thankful for Dr. Homer. He is literally a life-saver. I am now able to live a pain-free life, and it has also made a huge difference in my happiness level. I highly recommend him to anyone, and I urge you to not quit the treatments if you don’t see a change right away. There will be set-backs but you have to stick with it. Dr. Homer is the right person to help you with this.
Great clinic and doctor. I love that he takes the time to explain what is happening to me. Always showing me the latest research. He has this table and technique that nobody does in Toronto and WOW it makes a huge difference; so gentle. I was pain free in a few weeks. I'd recommend him to anyone.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Homer for over 8 years now and I can say that I have not had low back issues in 8 years. AND that’s saying a lot. I used to have pain every year for about a month, and nothing since. I've had a stiff spine since I was a kid. I also have a badly degenerated disc in my low back, I don’t do any of the stretches he gives me, I don’t follow his advice to try yoga (I just laughed at him at that suggestion) and I ignore his suggestion that I consider taking up cycling or swimming instead of running. Every time he tries, we both laugh. Come to think of it while I write this, no wonder he even takes me as a patient. But I do appreciate not just being a number to him, even after 8 years. I appreciate how he still care and still tries to make my life better. I’m very glad and completely happy with my care in his office.
Amazing Dr. And facility. I’ve had upper back and neck pain for a long time and Dr. Homer was able to figure out what I was doing to keep making it come back. It took a while. I’d get better, then back to before, then better, then back to before. I like that he was able to use different techniques, not just the same thing over and over again. He never lost his patience and even did another full exam (at no charge) to find out it was the way I was sleeping. I’ve changed that, added some stretches and now pain free for 4 months. I’m completely happy. He is easy to get in to see, patient, and really knows his stuff. I’d recommend him to anyone.
I've been receiving chiropractic treatment from Dr. Homer since 2011. As a nurse I'm constantly being subjected to issues of pulled muscles. One particular time I hurt my back moving a patient. No amount of meds would make the pain go away. Thanks to Dr. Homer and my routine adjustments, I never take any meds for pain and receive compliments on my posture. Dr. Homer is very knowledgeable and his office offer many forms of treatment options for aches and pain.
