Ratings for Dr. Nilesh Chande
I'm an almost 83 yr. old senior and upon meeting Dr. Chande for consultation last year I was so shocked as he looks so young but immediately put me at ease and the day I went for colonoscopy he came to cubicle to take me into the room HIMSELF for the procedure which really surprised me and on the way down the hall pretended he was going to run into another Dr. and made me laugh. I'm waiting to hear when I will have another appt. with Dr. Chande as having some problems which my wonderful GP thinks it is caused by IBS. So pleased it is Dr. Chande I will be seeing as I know he will do his best to relieve me of my problems.
Dr Chande reviewed my file showing updates from all doctor care involved with me. Came into the room and listened to my medical concerns and immediately took action. He has test set up to go quicker than I have ever seen done during the entire time I have had Crohn's. Say 30 years He is kind and compassionate to me and feel extremely lucky to have him as my doctor.
Dr. Chande looked after me for 8 years for my Chron's disease. He always has good advice and explains each treatment before giving a prescription. I am comfortable having him do my colonoscopies and talking to him about my problems. His secretary Laura always fits me in when I need to see Dr. Chande quickly. Oh and he is easy to look at too!
Not impressed by this doctor. I have GI issues and had been followed by a doctor at the children's hospital whom diagnosed me with celiac and possible crohns, possible as they could not yet find the crohns but I have a significant family history. Dr Chande told me that there was "A 1% chance anything was wrong with me." He sent me for an ultrasound which came back abnormal. My doctors office had also received a copy of this report so I was made aware before visiting his office. In his office, he told me that the results lead him to believe that there was no need for further testing.... yet I knew the report suggested a colonoscopy! He was then forced to do a colonoscopy on me. He concluded that nothing was wrong. I then asked to be referred to another GI doctor. My new doctor gave me a pill camera and found that I have crohns where my small bowel attaches to my colon! Overall, I would not suggest this doctor. Oh and I should add that I am an RN in the OR! On the bright side, his staff was very friendly. The wait was also very reasonable, even though I do not mind waiting longer to see a good specialist who takes time to listen to your concerns!
